ABSTRACT
Vesnić, A. & Lelo, S. Contribution to the knowledge of the genus Cataglyphis Foerster, 1850 (Insecta: Hymenoptera, Formicidae) on territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This paper presents biosystematic and taxonomic data regarding genus Cataglyphis Foerster, 1850 and its Bosnian species: Cataglyphis nodus (Brulle, 1832) and Cataglyphis cursor (Fonscolombe, 1846). Special attention was given to new findings of Cataglyphis nodus (Brulle) in Hercegovini (Kravice near Ljubuško and Buna near Mostara).
Key words: Cataglyphis, nodus, cursor, Formicidae, biodiversity, Bosnia and Herzegovina

SUMMARY
In Bosnia and Herzegovina genus Cataglyphis Foerster is represented by two species, Cataglyphis nodus (Brulle, 1832) and C. cursor (Fonscolombe, 1846). All of the previous records of these Cataglyphis Foerster species have been from southern parts of Herzegovina. Species were found on thermophilic habitats characteristic of Herzegovina, and this confirms that species from this genus are thermophilic and that the area of their distribution in Bosnia and Herzegovina is unquestionably tied to warm areas.
