Memišević, E., Lelo, S.: Butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Lepidoptera: Hesperioidea, Papilionoidea) with operative map for its areal detection and key for determination of species – original software. Prilozi fauni Bosne i Hercegovine, 1: 9-15. This paper contains elementary information on the original software “Dnevni leptiri Bosne i Hercegovine sa operativnom kartom za određivanje areala i ključem za determinaciju vrsta” (“Butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina with operative map for sizing of areal and key for species determination”), which presents basic database for specified genus (check list of butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their basic monographic informations and map of distribution for each loged species). Map entryesis based are on Gaus- Krüger’s sistem and againts maps of ratio of 1:25.000.

First informations about collecting and investigation of butterflies in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been dating from 19th century. Among the first publications are paper written by H. Mitis about lepidopterology fauna of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was published in 1882.
Since that period until today papers of more authors (M. Nicholl, V. Apfelbeck, H. Rebel, K. Schawerda, H. Fruhstorfer, Z. Lorković, R. Sijarić, B. Mihljević, S. Lelo, for example) clearly show that fauna of butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been explored over a long period of time and that it is well known.
After summarising gain uponed knowledges about butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its dispersion (background of butterflies exploration, basic biological informations on butterflies, detailed description of essential equipments and its use during field work, complete instructions about procedure of caught specimens and its storaging, check list of butterflies, key for determination of species, basic monographic informations for each species and original map for detailed detection of areal).
Informations which have been entered in this “software package” were taken from writing: “Butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Key for species determination” and “Revision of Rebel’s list of butterflies of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, written by Suvad Lelo, MSc.
